Omnia Projects Secures Place on Northern Powergrid’s Professional Services Framework

Omnia Projects is proud to announce its successful appointment to Northern Powergrid’s Professional Services Framework following a competitive tender process. This significant achievement strengthens Omnia’s position as a trusted technical partner to one of the UK’s leading electricity distribution companies.

Northern Powergrid, part of Berkshire Hathaway Energy, delivers power to approximately 3.9 million customers across a 25,000 km² region covering the North East of England, Yorkshire, and Humberside. As the network continues to modernise and expand to meet the challenges of a low-carbon, electrified future, the demand for high-quality engineering expertise has never been greater.

Success Across Three Key Lots

Omnia Projects has been awarded a place on three specialist lots:

• Electricity Network Project Engineer & Ancillary Services
• Protection Applications Design Engineer Services
• Protection Commissioning Engineer Services

The Professional Services Framework is a five-year agreement, with options for extension. This means Omnia’s work with Northern Powergrid will span both the current RIIO-ED2 price control period and continue into RIIO-ED3. This long-term collaboration positions Omnia to support Northern Powergrid through a decade-defining period of network digitalisation, capacity expansion, and energy transition.
