Commissioning

The objective of commissioning is to prove that the individual items of equipment are suitable for their intended purpose and acceptable for commercial operation. This includes ensuring that equipment has not been damaged during transit, has been correctly installed and performs as specified. It also involves obtaining test data which can be used as the basis for comparison with future maintenance and fault investigation.

We are experienced in undertaking commissioning for generation projects including G99 (previously G59) testing for generation connections to the distribution and transmission system.

For National Grid projects we have Commissioning Engineers who are authorised to their TP141 procedure. In addition, we can provide TP141 Commissioning Panel Chairman and TP141 Commissioning Officers in accordance with their TP106 procedure.
